We’re grateful to Circle of Sisterhood for a new three-year, unrestricted grant supporting Limitless Horizons Ixil’s work with Maya Ixil youth in Chajul.
This grant is especially meaningful because Limitless Horizons Ixil was selected as one of Circle of Sisterhood’s first multi-year funding partners under a new approach to grantmaking designed to deepen relationships with organizations the foundation knows and trusts. The new model reflects Circle of Sisterhood’s commitment to trust-based philanthropy including learning alongside partners, allowing organizations to lead the way they know best, and longer-term funding commitments.
“Beyond the investment itself, this grant is an expression of trust from Circle of Sisterhood,” says Katie Morrow, Executive Director. “It recognizes that those closest to the work are often best positioned to determine where resources are needed, and it gives us the flexibility to adapt as opportunities and challenges arise.”
For Limitless Horizons Ixil, this multi-year grant provides stability as we look ahead to important milestones, including Colegio Horizontes’ first high school graduation in 2026 and the development of our next strategic plan (2027-2031). Over the next three years, this generous funding will support our full continuum of programs—from the Community Library to Colegio Horizontes to Emerging Leaders—helping us continue to invest in the opportunities and support Maya Ixil youth need to pursue their goals.
